Cupcakes and Cashmere‘s Emily Schuman has a new outfit post up. The whole outfit is great but her Manolo Blahnik pumps really stood out for me. They’re the Manolo Blahnik BB Suede Pointed-Toe Pumps. With 4″ heels, they really make you stand tall and the rise looks great on your feet.
A little about Manolo Blahnik; In the 1970s, when chunky platform shoes and boots were the mainstream footwear styling of the day, Manolo Blahnik turned back his attention to the stiletto heel, which has remained the brand’s mainstay to this day. Manolo Blahnik shoes have rapidly become a symbol of pure classical style for the 21st century. (Wikipedia)
He started his first flagship store in London and continued to grow his brand all over the world. I love all the styles and colors you can find and they each look so classic. Unfortunately, $595 is not in my price range right now, so until then, here are some similar alternative pumps.
These Via Spiga Pumps have some similarities with the Manolo Blahniks. They are black sueded with a pointed toe. Although the heel is a little thicker and all black, it is still a nice option. They can be found at Nordstrom for $99.
These Vince Camuto Kain Pumps would be my first choice I believe. I like how the heels are a little more similar. The pointed toe is similar. The heel height is the same at 4″ as well. They are shoes that look well made and I wouldn’t mind wearing them. They can be found at Dillards for $70.
Here is the thriftiest option. These are Guess Mipolia Pumps and at $35, they are quite a deal. The heel height is again the same at 4″. I don’t believe they look as nice as the Vince Camuto pair, but they are half the price so what can I expect. I think that they would be a good option when you’re trying to save money and want a pointy toed suede pump.
There are the options I found if you want the beauty without sacrificing your whole paycheck. Do you like any of the alternatives? Do you own a pair of Manolo Blahniks?
